Gnarls Barkley & The Grey Album
Picked up a bit of new music this weekend and thought I'd pass along recommendations.

First I picked up St. Elsewhere from Gnarls Barkley from iTunes. Gnarls Barkley is a collaboration of DJ Danger Mouse and Cee-Lo. The album has a 70's Motown flavor too it, but with an updated spin to it. Very interesting listen.

Next I finally got around to downloading The Grey Album BitTorrent file. The Grey Album is a Mashup (Bastard pop) of Jay-Z's The Black Album and The White Album from The Beatles done by DJ Danger Mouse. It has never been commercially available because of how tight the copyrights on Beatles songs are maintained. It is such a great album that people take the risk to make it available for free online. It is definitely worth downloading.

Midi Catalog
The only thing that rivals my interest in movies is music. I've amassed a good collection of Midi files, which are cheesy electronic renditions of regular songs that can be used as polyphonic ringtones (if you didn't already know that). To keep track of them and share them with people I put together an online catalog which can be found here. Feel free to download whatever you like. If you come across any other cool Midi's, please email them to me and I'll add them to the catalog. P.S. - I would share my music collection (around 10,000 mp3's), but we wouldn't want the RIAA knocking on my door would we?

Choosing electric guitars as your musical interest of choice right off the bat, without considering all the musical instruments out there in the world, might leave you wishing you had learned to play bass guitars instead; or, even worse, you'll be completely unprepared to play drum sets if you decide that's your preference.
